William Buick back in business

William Buick made a successful return from his enforced spell out of the saddle with victory aboard Gilgamesh at Nottingham on Tuesday evening.
Buick picked up a 30-day ban from the stewards in France following his ride aboard the unplaced Highlands Queen in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly on June 19.
He was adjudged to have caused the fall of Pierre-Charles Boudet’s mount Armande, with Highlands Queen subsequently disqualified and placed last.
During the inquiry, the stewards banned Buick for an automatic 15 days for causing the fall, with the Godolphin jockey handed an extra 15 days for being offensive to the officials.
