Byrnes treble slams bookmakers

Charles Byrnes hit bookmakers hard on Tuesday as three of his runners obliged at Roscommon after attracting heavy support throughout the day.
The first to run was War Anthem who ran out a comfortable winner of the Paul Byron Shoes Maiden Hurdle.
Unplaced in two previous starts over hurdles, the six-year-old had touched 9/4 from a high of 16/1 but was easy to back on course and was returned at 6/1.
