Jim Kelly bounces back from cancer to mark his charity’s 30th year

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two years ago, former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly remained in a hospital battling cancer as hundreds gathered for the Hall of Fame quarterback’s annual celebrity gala in downtown Buffalo.
On that night in 2014, it would have been hard to picture Kelly smiling the way he was Sunday night as his charity marked its 30th consecutive year hosting the event. Wearing a cowboy hat befitting of this year’s country theme, the Bills icon reflected on the turnaround in his health after defeating sinus cancer in 2014.
