Source: Vikings’ Smith to be highest-paid safety

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a contract extension with safety Harrison Smith on Monday morning, the team announced.

Smith will earn $51.25 million over the next five years, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, including a $10 million signing bonus.
