Emotions High for Truex Jr.

Share: Martin Truex Jr. did his best to keep his emotions in check after his dominating win in the Coca-Cola 600. The Furniture Row Racing driver has come close several times to winning this year, only to be disappointed in the end. He was on the short end of a photo finish to Denny Hamlin in the Daytona 500. Truex Jr. had dominating cars in both Texas and Kansas only to have misfortune arise and end any hopes of finding Victory Lane. But Sunday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway he was able to overcome any of those kinds of challenges and turned in the most dominating performance in NASCAR history leading 392 of 400 laps on his way to career win No. 4. “Yeah, it’s just amazing,” he said in Victory Lane. “I’m so proud.
