Logano Recovers for Top-10 Finish

A week after winning the Sprint All-Star Race, Joey Logano finished ninth in the Coca-Cola 600 after recovering from a pit road penalty.
The Team Penske started from outside the front row next to eventual race winner Martin Truex Jr. But while the Furniture Row Racing driver was dominating the night, Logano had his hands full. He fell back early but still managed to stay near the front of the field while Truex Jr. took off. But any chance of staying remotely close to the lead ended when Logano was penalized for crewmember(s) over the wall too soon during a 254 pit stop.
