According to Swiss Media, Roger Federer will not play the French Open

According to Basler Zeitung, Roger Federer has not recovered from his back issues and his condition has worsened and thus will not play be playing the French Open. Federer however is yet to confirm whether he will be playing at Roland Garros or not.
