Elliott has a special tie to new teammate Smith

Back in January, new Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith, at the time considered a top-10 NFL Draft prospect, suffered a gruesome leg injury, tearing his ACL and MCL during the first quarter of the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State.
Smith wouldn’t fall as far in the draft as many thought, with Dallas swooping in to take him with the No. 34 overall pick. The man selected 30 picks earlier, Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott, played in that game as well.
