Thomas vander Mars Dutch Center Thomas van der Mars (208-C-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Rapla, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.The 26-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds, while his team outclassed Valga (#6, 4-7) with 28-point margin 87-59. Rapla maintains the 2nd position in Estonian Alexela KML. They are still close to the very top. Rapla would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. van der Mars turned to be Rapla’s top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Portland star has very solid stats this year. van der Mars is in league’s top in points (2nd best: 19.5ppg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 65.0% FGP.The second best player in last round’s games was 31-year old Lithuanian Vaidotas Volkus (203-F-85) of Parnu.
