VitalisChikoko Zimbabwean Power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-F/C-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for Pau-Lacq-Orthez, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).The 25-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, nine rebounds and two assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to outclass BK Pardubice (#3, 0-1) with 35-point margin 101-66. It allowed Pau-Lacq-Orthez to take over top position in the FIBA Europe Cup group O. But it’s just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Pau-Lacq-Orthez won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Chikoko turned to be Pau-Lacq-Orthez’s top player in his first season with the team. The second best player in last round’s games was 26-year old American Andre Jones (191-G-90) of Prievidza. Jones had a very good evening with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
