DwayneLathan 27-year old guard Dwayne Lathan (190-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sokhumi and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.He had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Batumi (#5, 3-3) 91-90. Sokhumi maintains the 6th position in Georgian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just one victory. In the team’s last game Lathan had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sokhumi’s top player in his first season with the team. Dwayne Lathan averages this season 14.2ppg and 5.3rpg. Second best performed player last round was Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-SG-93) of Batumi.
