France – French ProB round 3 best performance: Joe Burton

Joe Burton American Forward Joe Burton (201-F-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Roanne, receiving a Eurobasket.com ProB Player of the Week award for round 3.The 26-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Poitiers (#14, 1-2) with 18-point margin 96-78. Roanne is placed at 5th position in French ProB. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost that single game earlier this season. Roanne will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Burton turned to be Roanne’s top player in his first season with the team. Former Oregon State University star has very solid stats this year. Burton is in league’s top in points (4th best: 21.3ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 72.2% FGP.The second best player in last round’s games was 26-year old American Dustin Ware (183-PG-90) of Vichy Clermont. Ware had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists. Of course Vichy Clermont cruised to a 79-71 relatively comfortable win over Maurienne (2-1).
