Switzerland – Jones number one in Switzerland for round 1

Chris Jones American Guard Chris Jones (188-G-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Starwings, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.The 23-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, eight rebounds and six assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Lausanne (#8, 0-1) 73-64. Starwings is placed at 4th position in Swiss LNA. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Starwings won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Jones had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Starwings’ top player in his first season with the team.The second best player in last round’s games was 32-year old American forward Derek Stockalper (196-F-84) of league’s second-best Lugano Tigers.
