Portugal – Martin number one in Portuguese Proliga for round 1

Kenny Martin American Forward Kenny Martin (208-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Barreirense, receiving a Eurobasket.com Proliga Player of the Week award for round 1.The player was the main contributor (28 points, six rebounds) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Angra (#5, 0-1) 85-75. Thanks to this victory Barreirense moved-up to the 2nd position in their group in Portuguese Proliga. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Barreirense won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Martin turned to be Barreirense’s top player in his first season with the team. Former Arkansas-Fort Smith star has very solid stats this year. Martin is league’s best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Martin is in league’s top in and averages impressive 78.6% FGP.The second best player in last round’s games was American Isaiah Ivey (188-G) of Terceira.
