Spain – Spanish LEB Gold round 2 best performance: Michael Fakuade

MichaelFakuade Nigeria-American Forward Michael Fakuade (201-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Breogan, receiving a Eurobasket.com LEB Gold Player of the Week award for round 2.The 27-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Burgos (#12, 0-2), the league’s bottom-ranked team 87-76. It allowed Breogan to take over top position in the Spanish LEB Gold. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Breogan won both games without losing any. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Fakuade had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. The second best player in last round’s games was 36-year old Jordi Trias (208-F-80) of FC Barcelona II. Trias had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as FC Barcelona II lost that game 64-76 to Castello (1-1). The season …
