Iceland – Stevens’ double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Amin Stevens 26-year old forward Amin Stevens (203-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Keflavik and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.He had a double-double of 33 points and 21 rebounds, while his team beat Njardvik (#7, 0-1) 88-82. Keflavik maintains the 4th position in Icelandic league. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Keflavik won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Stevens had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range.Second best performed player last round was Matthew Hunter (196-G-90) of IR. He is American guard in his first season at IR.
