Lithuania – Jonuska’s 26 points and 7 rebounds give him NKL Player of the Week award

KostasJonuska 24-year old swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-G/F-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Mazeikiai and receives a Eurobasket.com NKL Player of the Week award for round 1.He had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Mazeikiai in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Delikatesas (1-1) 98-84. Thanks to this victory Mazeikiai moved-up to the 6th position in Lithuania NKL. Mazeikiai is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team’s last game Jonuska had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. It’s his second year at Mazeikiai and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Jonuska has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (7th best: 18.0ppg), assists (6th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 3.0spg.Second best performed player last round was Gytis Masiulis (206-PF-98) of Zalgiris II.
