Owner Nick Peacock is relishing the opportunity to have a second crack at the Melbourne Cup following Wicklow Brave’s shock victory in the Irish St Leger at the Curragh on Sunday.
Defending champion and Gold Cup hero Order Of St George was the hot favourite for the Group One contest, but had to make do with the runner-up spot as Wicklow Brave made every yard of the running to provide Ireland’s all-conquering champion National Hunt trainer Willie Mullins with his first Classic success.
