Mehmas will be aimed towards the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes following his fine effort in defeat at the Curragh on Sunday.
Victorious in the July Stakes at Newmarket and the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood, the Richard Hannon-trained juvenile tested the water at seven furlongs for the first time on his Group One debut in the National Stakes and was far from disgraced in finishing second to Aidan O’Brien’s 2000 Guineas and Derby favourite Churchill.
