KLM Open 2016: Friday Leaderboard Scores and Highlights

Bernd Wiesberger will carry a one-shot lead into the weekend at the European Tour’s 2016 KLM Open after firing his second straight five-under 66 on Friday at The Dutch in Spijk, Netherlands.
The 30-year-old Austrian, who owns three career European Tour victories, has plenty of company near the top of the leaderboard, though. There are 25 other players within five strokes of the lead after two rounds, including six golfers within two shots.
Here’s a look at how the top 10 shapes up after Friday’s action:
Wiesberger’s day got off to an inauspicious start, as he carded bogeys on two of the first three holes. The rest of his round was nearly flawless, though. He posted seven birdies and no bogeys over the remaining 15 holes to climb atop the leaderboard.
The leader, who’s made just five cuts in 14 major appearances, is having a terrific week with his approach shots, giving himself a lot of looks at birdie. He’s hit 28 of 36 greens through two rounds despite hitting less than half the fairways.
With the lead in hand, he posted comments on his official Facebook page after Round 2.
