The Pivot Vault gets some slick upgrades for 2017

The new Pivot Vault is a competition-ready cyclocross machine that doubles as an all-season racer on any road surface. The 2017 frameset includes an all new, full carbon, tapered steerer fork from Pivot, with an oversized crown, increased tire clearance, and Shimano’s new flat-mount brakes. To reduce weight and improve handling, the fork dropouts have been upgraded to a 12mm thru axle design. The new model is available as a frameset or as a complete bike with a mixed surface build featuring Shimano Ultegra and Stan’s Grail wheels for $3,999.

Clement releases new fast-rolling, mixed-terrain X’Plor adventure tire

Clement adds a third tire to its line of X’Plor mixed-terrain, adventure tires. The Strada USH combines the company’s Strada LGG road tire with the knobbier X’Plore USH, creating a tire with a fast rolling center track and scaled up herringbone tread toward the edges for traction in the turns.
