Owens recalled to start in E-Rod’s place

DETROIT — The Red Sox recalled left-hander Henry Owens from Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday. Infielder Deven Marrero was optioned to Pawtucket to make room on the 25-man roster. Owens will start the series finale against the Tigers at Comerica Park in place of left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, who was scratched due to lingering tightness in his left hamstring.
Rodriguez was slated to make the start after leaving his Tuesday start early with tightness in his hamstring. He threw multiple bullpen sessions throughout the week in Detroit, including a full 35-pitch session on Friday that Farrell said he eased into before …
