Righty Wilson optioned to Triple-A Norfolk

BALTIMORE — The Orioles optioned right-hander Tyler Wilson to Triple-A Norfolk after Friday’s 15-8 loss to the Astros. The move clears room for Baltimore to add a long reliever for Saturday’s game after it needed to use all three of its long men when starter Wade Miley lasted just 1 2/3 innings.
Wilson pitched two innings Friday, allowing four runs on five hits. It’s the third time he’s been sent down this season.
