Busch Hopes to End Bristol Slump

Kyle Busch looks to recapture his Bristol Motor Speedway magic in Saturday’s annual summer night race.
Busch has five career Sprint Cup wins at the Tennessee half-mile with eight top fives and 13 top 10s in 22 starts. But he hasn’t visited Victory Lane there in a Sprint Cup Series race since 2011, a drought he hopes to erase this weekend.
“It’s been frustrating since they ground the track surface and I haven’t figured that out yet,” Busch said. “Last summer, we got a lot closer to winning. We had some issues with tires in the spring, even though we had a fast car. Hopefully, we have a better handle on that this weekend.”
