Foot keeps Duvall out, but All-Star not concerned

CINCINNATI — Foul balls off the foot are often painful, but the one Reds left fielder Adam Duvall took off his left foot Monday vs. the Marlins got him in a spot he’s been slow to recover from. Duvall missed his second straight game on Wednesday vs. Miami.
“I’m not [worried],” Reds manager Bryan Price said. “We’ve done all the testing and stuff to verify there was no fracture. There is a lot of nerve endings right down there. It’s just one of those spots where you really don’t want to get hit, because it’s going to be sore for more than 24-48 hours.”
Duvall was wearing a walking boot around the Reds’ clubhouse after Tuesday’s game and did not take batting practice again on Wednesday. He indicated it was not a serious injury, which was echoed …
