Cote continues winning ways

A review of Tuesday afternoon’s meeting at Ripon as Cote D’Azur won for trainer Les Eyre.
Les Eyre is best known for winning the Ebor with Far Ahead in 1997 but it is the Cambridgeshire he has his eyes on this season with new recruit Cote D’Azur, who continued his winning ways at Ripon.
Formerly trained by Sir Mark Prescott, he was bought privately after winning three on the bounce and there appears to be more improvement in him yet.
David Allan was always in the right place in the attheraces.com City Of Ripon Stakes and the 9-4 favourite won by a length and a half.
