Dustin Peterson fueled Double-A Mississippi’s 6-2 win over Jacksonville on Sunday, driving in five of his team’s six runs. Peterson, the Braves No. 18 prospect, hit 2-for-5 with two home runs. It was his first multi-homer game.

The 21-year-old outfielder put the Braves ahead early with a three-run shot in the first inning. Peterson went deep again in the ninth, pushing his home run total to 11 for the year.

“He’s the guy who can be consistent and hit .295. He’s the guy in the middle of the lineup who can drive in some runs and tough it out and give you a good AB.”
