Butland eases injury fears

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has played down his latest injury scare after hurting his ankle during training on Friday.
The 23-year-old missed the Potters’ 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday after being sent for scans.
The injury was to the same ankle Butland broke during England’s 3-2 friendly victory over Germany in March – which forced him to miss Euro 2016 – and that was a cause of concern for the player and his club.
However, the scans showed the injury is not too serious and Butland expects to be “back soon”.
