Barcelona take on Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. 

Unlike the Community Shield, which serves as the curtain-raiser for the Premier League, if a team wins both La Liga and the Copa del Rey in the previous season—as Barcelona did—they will face the runners-up of the latter competition rather than the former.

Barca beat Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final 2-0 in May, but with Jorge Sampaoli now in charge of the Europa League holders following Unai Emery’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain it could be a very different match indeed.
