OAKLAND — The Mariners powered their way back into the win column Saturday night, getting home runs from Nelson Cruz and Robinson Cano in a 4-3 victory over the A’s to even their three-game set at the Coliseum.
Seth Smith chipped in with an RBI single as part of a three-run fifth inning that would put the Mariners on top for good, as they clinched their seventh win in their last eight games while improving to 15-8 in their last 23 games.
