Indians’ Santana hurt on liner into dugout

CLEVELAND — A scary moment interrupted the Indians’ game against the Angels in the fifth inning Thursday night, when designated hitter Carlos Santana was hit in the back of the head by a fouled line drive into the Cleveland dugout.
With Cleveland holding a 10-3 lead in the fifth, Francisco Lindor pulled a 1-1 pitch from Angels pitcher Brett Oberholtzer into foul ground down the third-base line and into the Tribe’s dugout. Santana, who was sitting on an elevated bench near the railing, tried to duck out of the way, but was hit by the ball before falling onto the dugout steps.
A pair of team athletic trainers quickly tended to Santana, while Lindor …
