Holliday exits after being hit on right hand

CHICAGO — Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday was knocked out of a 3-3 game in the 10th inning on Thursday after a 94-mph pitch from Cubs reliever Mike Montgomery clipped his right hand.
Holliday keeled over immediately and appeared to have trouble flexing all of his fingers when asked to by the team’s athletic trainer. He was promptly replaced by pinch-runner Jeremy Hazelbaker.
