A point enough for Zamalek to reach semis

At least a point will be enough for Egyptian giants Zamalek when they play host to Nigeria’s Enyimba on Sunday in the Group B Day 5 fixture in Cairo.

 

The White Knights occupy second spot in Group with three points, six behind semis-bound South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns, and will guarantee their spot at the last four by avoiding defeat against two-time winner, Enyimba, who are pointless after two matches.

 

Zamalek go into the match with their morale high, after clinching a fourth Egyptian Cup in row. The Cairo-based club ousted arch rivals Ahly 3-1 in Alexandria on Monday to claim their 25th Egyptian Cup title, and save their domestic season after Ahly edged them to the league title.
