Porcello tied for MLB lead in wins with 15

BOSTON — Fenway Park sure has become a happy place for Rick Porcello.
The Red Sox right-hander dominated through eight innings on Tuesday against the Yankees in a 5-3 victory to stay a perfect 11-0 at home.
After a West Coast road trip in which the team finished 5-6, the Red Sox were in need of a win to start off a six-game homestand. Porcello, who allowed two runs on seven hits, is now 7-1 when pitching after the team loses.
“You are aware of the situation you are in, especially in August and September to drop too many games in a row isn’t good,” Porcello said. “We know we have to play with urgency. I don’t try to let that affect me, but we all know it.”
Porcello also picked up his 100th career win. …
