Nigeria narrowly edge Niger 1-0 in Abuja

World champions Nigeria managed just a 1-0 win against Niger at home on Saturday in their second round first leg qualifier at the Abuja National Stadium. The only goal of the fiercely-contested encounter was scored as early as the first minute through striker Usman Musa Babalolo amidst wild jubilation by the home fans. But the Junior Menas came prepared and threw everything into the game by defending in numbers till the end of the first half.
