- Updated: August 5, 2016
As the world awaits the start of the Rio Olympics, British Gymnastics is celebrating the legacy of 2012.
In just a few weeks, British Gymnastics member clubs will hit a landmark 100,000 increase in recreational gymnasts since 2012. This is in England and Northern Ireland gymnastics clubs alone bringing nationwide membership to its highest yet, a total of 327,000 across the UK*
Independent industry research shows there are also now 1.1 million people participating in gymnastics across the nation each month. This equates to over £4m invested into clubs in 2015 alone.
