Browns say TE Barnidge is on track for Week 1

BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns tight end Gary Barnidge is on track to be ready for the season opener Sept. 11 in Philadelphia, his tight ends coach said Tuesday.
He had sports hernia surgery June 2.
“We’ve got a plan for him that will get him to opening day,” tight ends coach Greg Seamon said. “So we have to accomplish two things: make sure he’s healthy and make sure he has enough work to be ready to go.
