Diame to undergo Toon medical

Hull midfielder Mohamed Diame is set to undergo a medical at Newcastle on Tuesday after failing to agree a new deal with the Tigers.
Diame is poised to drop down a division to the Championship after Newcastle agreed to meet the £4.5m release clause in the Senegalese midfielder’s contract.
Hull had hoped to keep hold of Diame, who scored the winning goal in last season’s Championship play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday.
However, the 29-year-old now looks set to follow former boss Steve Bruce out of the KCOM Stadium in what is another major pre-season blow for the Yorkshire club.
