UFC 201 medical suspensions: Ryan Benoit potentially out 180 days

Flyweight up-and-comer Ryan Benoit headlined a list of 13 fighters to receive extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC 201, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission announced Monday.
Benoit, who fought and defeated Fredy Serrano via split decision on the night’s pay-per-view opener, will be required to receive doctor’s clearance on an undisclosed injury or sit on the sidelines for six months.
Aside from Benoit, no other fighter on the card received a suspension stretching longer than 45 days.
