UFC 201 Salaries: Robbie Lawler Takes Top Purse With $500,000 in Title Defeat

Robbie Lawler didn’t leave Atlanta with the UFC welterweight title, but he did leave with the biggest purse at UFC 201. The 34-year-old was knocked out in the first round by challenger Tyron Woodley in his third third defense of his 170-pound crown. However, “Ruthless” still took home a disclosed $500,000. For his title victory, Woodley earned $340,000, which includes a $70,000 win bonus. In the UFC 201 co-feature, unbeaten Polish strawweight Karolina Kowalkiewicz likely earned herself a shot at her countrywoman Joanna Jedrzejczyk, but Kowalkiewicz’s unanimous decision win over Rose Namajunas also netted her $38,000; Namajunas made $46,000 to show.
