ATP ATLANTA – MAIN DRAW: Isner could face Fritz in quarter-final, Kyrgios awaits Donaldson or Groth

ATP 250 tournament in Atlanta will be held for the 7th year running, in this new chapter of the event that started in 2010, when the license was bought from the long-running event in Indianapolis. Nevertheless, the tennis tradition in Atlanta is a much richer, as everything started with Atlanta WCT between 1973-1976, and Stan Smith and Ilie Nastase among the winners. It was held again in 1985, with John McEnroe as a winner on the indoor carpet surface, before it was moved to Orlando. The top class tennis returned to Atlanta in 1992, staying there until 2001, and it was played usually at the end of April on clay courts, with Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras and Andy Roddick among the winners. From 2010 it has been a regular stop on the ATP Tour, this time on hard courts in July, and all titles so far went to the home players, Mardy Fish, Andy Roddick, and John Isner.
