Next month’s Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway will feature an additional, final test of NASCAR’s provisional 2017 rules package.
NASCAR published a Rule Book bulletin with the announcement that they will be using the potential 2017 rules package for the Pure Michigan 400 on Aug. 28. The reduced-downforce specifications will be the same ones that were used in the track’s first 2016 race last month, and will include elements of the rules package that were used during the Sprint All-Star Race and at Kentucky Speedway earlier this season.
