Showalter not concerned with Deadline fodder

BALTIMORE — Orioles manager Buck Showalter isn’t scouring trade rumors, nor is he worried about the buzz surrounding Monday’s non-waiver Trade Deadline.
“It’s blown out of proportion,” Showalter said, “especially [with] a club like ours.”
The O’s are obviously in the running to upgrade their pitching staff, and they have been typically linked to several arms thought to be available — though no one is ever quite sure what to believe.
“You don’t become insensitive to it. It’s kind of cold,” Showalter said. “You’d like for there to be a scoreboard when you’re wrong three out of four times and it’s not even close to being right.
