Nick Crowell is the new men’s tennis head coach at the University of Oklahoma

Oklahoma University Vice President and Director of Athletics, Joe Castiglione, has announced that Nick Crowell is appointed as the new head coach of the men’s tennis program. For the last 13 years, Crowell served as an assistant coach and associate head coach at Florida State University, leading the Seminoles to the NCAA championship in every of those seasons. After 5 years with Seminoles, he got promoted from an assistant to associate head coach in 2008, and he was Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year 3 times in his career, most recently in 2015. Crowell had the privilege to coach some very prominent Collegiate players at Florida, the last of them being Benjamin Lock and Marco Nunez. All in all, Florida State players that were coached by him have won 63 pro titles, on both Futures and Challenger level.
Now, there’s another challenging task in front of him, to guide one of the best squads in the country for the last few seasons, as Sooners finished runner-up in each of the last 3 NCAA championships. Also, prior to this season, they have won the Big 12 regular season or tournament titles in the past 4 years.
