Jags GM OK with Robinson’s reason for crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell is satisfied with the explanation he got from running back Denard Robinson about the details of his one-car crash that resulted in his car ending up in a retention pond earlier this month.
Caldwell said Monday that he spoke with Robinson multiple times about the July 3 crash in Jacksonville and said he was reassured that Robinson did nothing wrong.
“My understanding is that the police officers did everything that they were supposed to do,” Caldwell said. “I know it is under review, so I don’t want to comment on that. Denard didn’t do anything wrong, except for being out when he shouldn’t have been out.
