Jake Arrieta looks to keep momentum going against crosstown rivals

Jake Arrieta and the Chicago Cubs take on the Chicago White Sox Monday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
After posting a 6.75 ERA over a four-start stretch, Arrieta appeared to return to form in a no-decision July 19 against the New York Mets at Wrigley Field.
Everything was clicking
Arrieta’s fastball was really on. He had a 78 percent strike rate on his fastball, his highest in any game this season and fourth-highest rate in any start of his career. Arrieta’s five strikeouts on the pitch were his most since June 17 against the Pittsburgh Pirates — the start before the four-start stretch noted above began.
