Rangers balk at putting Mazara in Sale talks

KANSAS CITY — The Rangers covet White Sox left-hander Chris Sale, but they do not want to put outfielder Nomar Mazara in a potential trade. That could be a deal-breaker as Chicago continues to listen on Sale with the intent of getting maximum value in return.
The Rangers are being flexible about infielder Jurickson Profar, Triple-A third baseman Joey Gallo and some of their pitching prospects. But they aren’t willing to include Mazara, who entered Saturday’s game hitting .281 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs.
