Cardinals’ Clemons could face assault charges

TEMPE, Ariz. – Scottsdale police recommended to the city prosecutor’s office that assault and disorderly conduct charges be brought against veteran Arizona Cardinals safety Chris Clemons for a May 8 incident outside a Scottsdale night club. The recommendation was made two weeks ago.
Clemons allegedly assaulted a female outside of International, a night club in the Old Town area of Scottsdale, according to a police report. The victim was knocked out for 20 to 30 seconds by a punch to the face after an altercation in a parking lot near the club, according to the report.
