Dawn delivers Bath glory

News from Wednesday’s meeting at Bath, where Dawn Horizons hinted at a bright future with her second win from three starts.
Owner-breeder Anthony Oppenheimer is hopeful Dawn Horizons can go on to bigger and better things after claiming a second win from three starts.
The William Haggas-trained filly is a daughter of New Approach, who stands at Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud alongside Oppenheimer’s brilliant Derby hero of last season Golden Horn.
Dawn Horizons shaped well on her Salisbury debut in May before bolting up at Doncaster the following month and she was sent off a well-backed 4/5 favourite for the Contract Furniture Group Fillies’ Handicap.
Always travelling well in the hands of Pat Cosgrave, the three-year-old quickened nicely to seal a one-and-a-half-length success and is now set for a step up in grade.
“She’s a filly I bred myself and she’s out of one of my best mares (Hidden Hope),” said Oppenheimer.
“She’s a nice filly and she seems to be improving, slowly but surely.”
