Marco Cecchinato, involved in Match-fixing, banned for 18 Months!

There’ve been a couple of Italian players, who’s been found to have involved in match-fixing. Marco Cecchinato has been banned for 18 months and fined €40,000 by the Italian federation for giving important information about matches, not only featuring him, but also other Italian players. He won’t be competing at least until 17th January 2018.
The match that was decisive for the sentence was Cecchinato’s match against the 338th ranked Kamil Majchrzak at the Mohammedia Challenger, in Morocco, on 8th October 2015. Cecchinato lost that match 6-1 6-4, but had placed many bets via a friend’s account and went on to earn €800 for each bet.
